We woke up the following morning a little as we had to say goodbye to our home. We gave it a good clean and packed up all of our stuff ready to depart. The drive down the coast was lovely and we decided to pop into Christchurch for a quick wander round. It was really easy to park for free within walking distance to the centre, given this is the biggest town in the South Island we were quite surprised.
We had a quick look around the shops and then saw that a busking festival (see picture) was on so stopped for a little while to watch one of the performers and making the most of the street food that was offered - spicy bratwurst sausages.. mmm.
I then fancied a coffee and where else to go but Starbucks, but I was so excited that I saw that above the Starbucks was a Singapore Air office - was this my perfect job and location.. the airline I love with the coffee I love below.. I wonder if they have any openings?
Moving on from this excitement, we then headed back towards the camper place after a quick petrol stop and to grab some beer for Darren and Sadie. Darren met us at the depot and we headed back to his for another fine feast of Sadie's cooking together with using the laundry facilities that were kindly offered.
The South Island was now complete and although we were sad to leave, the North beckoned.
