Boxing day

No Ryan and I had not fallen out and resorted to violence !
Boxing day is a British public holiday which falls the day after Christmas. It dates back to the middle ages when the rich would box up gifts, food or money which was the most common, and give them to the poor, these days people in the UK use it for 3 main reasons 1) Spend it with the in laws/ relations you did not see on Christmas day 2) Go to the sales at all the shopping malls and house goods stores or 3) eat leftovers and spend the day on the sofa after all you are getting another day off work.
We did the latter, I just watched movies in the hostel and relaxed as my cold was still with me and I wanted to use the opportunity for some relaxation. Ryan went off to an IT Mall near by for a few hours and then we watched the Simpson's movie together - very funny, I would recommend it. I then popped out for some fresh air and headed to a near by mall called Times Square, from what I could see it looked pretty nice for all of its 10 floors! It even had a Theme Park on the 5th floor and the UK chain of Debenhams although I didn't know that at the time.

Back at our place we packed up and headed to the train station ready to catch our train and have some dinner. The same old selection of ropey looking noodles and rice were on offer so we headed to KFC (I already mentioned we were milking the Western approach). We boarded our train which was already made up into beds, Ryan was tired so settled in for the night, I used our remaining credit on our phone to have a chat to my mum which was nice and then read until I was sleepy around 12 then it was off to Singapore ....
